电影《神彩巡回演唱会》录制于2022年9月在Los Angeles's Dodger Stadium的演出场次，主要歌曲来自于LadyGaga于2020年5月发行的第六张录音室专辑《Chromatica》。此前，LadyGaga在解释Chromatica一词时称：“Chromatica是绚烂的复仇，所有的混乱都变成纯粹的能量和生命力”。
本片由克里·阿斯姆森、LadyGaga导演。据悉，LadyGaga全程参与了剪辑、导演和制作。她在社交媒体上发文称：“我在剪辑室里花了无数个小时来将我对这部电影的设想变为现实。这是我送给你们的礼物——由我和世界上的一些最有才华、最有创造力的人一起导演、制作和创作的礼物。”
